Our Why
The most basic human need is to feel connected to others and addiction destroys connection. When people want to get sober, they often have alienated friends and family, have no job and no money, and are packing around loads of guilt and shame from the things they did in their addiction. They face a Catch-22, remain isolated and lonely, or seek connection with the people they drank and used with and likely relapse. The Sober Life prevents people from having to make this choice, providing them with a healthy outlet where they can fulfill their need for connection. We are people in recovery, helping those in recovery. We offer a range of FREE and family friendly events and activities, where those in recovery can enjoy fellowship and build friendships in an alcohol, drug and judgement free environment.

Peer Support & Care Coordination
We provide individualized peer support to assist people in walking their unique recovery path. Through sharing experience, strength and hope and offering empathetic guidance, we help those we serve adapt to the challenges of recovery. Our peer supporters also help connect people with medical providers, behavioral healthcare, housing, employment, educational support, and other vital services.
Support Groups
We offer a variety of support groups facilitated by people who have experienced similar challenges and found peace and serenity despite facing difficult circumstances. These groups, such as those focused on grief and sexual abuse, create a safe and judgement-free space for sharing, healing, and growth.

Native American Culturally Relevant Activities
We offer a variety of activities that allow participants to explore and learn about Native American culture and traditions. Through activities such as beading and Red Road to Wellbriety individuals can connect with their heritage, enhance their spiritual growth, and embrace healing practices.
Family Friendly Events
We provide a range of family-friendly events where people in recovery and their families can connect, enjoy activities together, and build stronger relationships.
Events include:
- Baseball and Hockey Games
- Arts & Crafts
- Hiking
- Bowling
- Karaoke
- Waterpark
- Fright Fest
- Recovery Gala
Free food and childcare are provided at many events.

Fitness Activities
We provide a wide range of engaging fitness activities designed to keep participants active, connected, and involved. From volleyball, pickleball and basketball, to HIIT Class, water aerobics, yoga and wellness walks we have something for every age and fitness level.
Volunteering
We offer monthly volunteer opportunities, where people can find purpose and give back to our communities, which we had often taken advantage of in the past. By coming together and paying it forward, we show ourselves and our communities that people who struggle with addiction are not burdens but kind, compassionate and giving people who make a positive impact.
