What is Rockin 4 Recovery?

Rockin 4 Recovery was founded in 2023 to raise funds to support Veterans in Cascade County who struggle with addiction and alcoholism.  Regardless of where we go or what we do, we always have a Rockin good time, and 100% of the funds raised go to supporting Veterans in Cascade County.

I have been a part of the Great Falls community since 1993. What I love most about Great Falls is the way our community comes together to support one another. I come from a family with a proud legacy of military service, and as an Army veteran in recovery myself, the Rockin’ 4 Recovery mission holds a special place in my heart. That is why I volunteer with R4R to help support veterans on their recovery journeys.

My name is Kathy Hankes. I was born and raised in Great Falls. I am the Veteran’s Treatment Court coordinator. I have worked with veterans since 2018, both in the criminal justice system and in the recovery world. I have a passion for helping others, especially those that risked it all for us. We started R4R in 2023 after recognizing the need to support veterans in recovery. The vets we work with are working hard to heal from both the visible and invisible wounds, so it is important that they are given the opportunity to do so. That is why I volunteer with R4R.

I grew up with a deep respect for service, being the daughter of a Vietnam Veteran and having a partner who is also a Veteran. That legacy of sacrifice inspires me every day, which is why I'm honored to support Rocking for Recovery. This incredible group is making tangible differences for veterans, providing them with hope and practical help when they need it most.
